Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Sent From The North Pole is a small Australian family store. We sell digital Christmas letter packs and care about keeping your details safe. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can ask us about your information. Our store is powered by Shopify.

By using our website or buying from us, you acknowledge this policy. If our Terms of Service say something different about personal information, this Privacy Policy wins for privacy matters.

Who we are

Sent From The North Pole (Australia). Email: sftnp365@gmail.com. We do not have a walk-in shop. Everything is digital.

What we collect

When you shop or contact us, we may collect: your name, email address, billing address, phone number (if you share it), payment details (handled by Shopify and payment providers, not stored by us as full card numbers), order history, messages you send us, and basic device or browser information such as IP address and how you use the site (through cookies and similar tools).

We do not need your child's full personal profile to sell a pack. If you type a child's first name into a fillable PDF after download, that happens on your own device. We do not receive that filled name unless you email it to us for support.

Why we collect it

We use personal information to process orders, send your download link, answer support questions, improve the shop, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and (only if you opt in or as allowed by law) send gentle updates about new letter volumes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information with Shopify and trusted providers who help us run the store (payments, email delivery, hosting, analytics). We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our store and customers.

Because Shopify hosts the store, some data may be processed outside Australia. Shopify provides safeguards described in its own privacy materials: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users

Children and families

Our products are for families, but purchases are made by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal details, email us and we will delete them where we can.

Cookies and tracking

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies (including through Shopify) to keep the cart working, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect checkout.

How long we keep information

We keep order and customer records as long as needed for the purchase, support, tax, and legal reasons, then delete or de-identify them when they are no longer required.

Your rights (Australia)

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, and you may lodge a complaint. Email sftnp365@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au/

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to delete or port certain information. We will honour requests where the law requires it. We may need to verify it is really you before we act.

Security

We and Shopify use reasonable safeguards, but no online system is perfectly secure. Please keep your download files and email account safe.

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
