FAQ

A few gentle answers from Ziggy's desk.

How do I open my download?

Your letters arrive as one zip file. On a computer, double click it (or right click and choose Extract All) to find your 25 letters and parent guide. On a phone or tablet, tap the file and choose to open or unzip it in Files.

How does the name work?

Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) or another PDF reader that supports fillable forms. Find the name box after Dear on the cover or any letter. Type your child's first name once. It appears on every page that shares the same name field. Save a copy with their name filled in, so you always have a personalised file ready to print.

The name box will not type

Use Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF app that supports fillable forms. Some phone preview apps only display the file and do not fill fields.

How do I print?

Print at A5 if your printer supports it, or print two pages per A4 sheet and cut or fold to A5 size. White paper keeps the look soft and saves ink. For a keepsake feel, thicker paper around 120 gsm is lovely but not required. Print one letter at a time, a few days ahead, or the whole set at once.

How much time each day?

About two minutes. Read the letter aloud (or let an older child read). Do the tiny optional activity if you like. That is enough. Skip an activity whenever you need to. The story still works.

How should I deliver each day?

Fold each letter in half, slip it into a small envelope, and leave it somewhere your child will find it: the breakfast table, the letterbox, or a special spot you invent together. Or tuck the letter beside the bed or under the pillow. If you want to buy envelopes, look for C6 (114 x 162 mm). Fold each A5 letter in half and it slides in with a little room to spare.

Can I print again?

Yes for your own child's letters (spares, torn pages). Each pack is personalised for one child.

What about siblings?

Each pack is for one child. For another child in the family, use an Extra Child Pack so they get their own fillable PDF and their own named set.

Keeping it as an heirloom

When December ends, tuck each letter back into its envelope and store them together in a small keepsake box (or a pretty folder or binder if that suits). Label it Christmas 2026, Volume One. Next year's adventures can sit beside it.
